The Wharf Hub in its workshops cites utu (Maori 'reciprocity') as a fundamental relationship in its approach to our marine World and the basis to its 'Sea Gardening' efforts.
When we start looking at interactions in this light then examples come to light. Dolphins herding fish is a phenomena observed in Australia and Tunisia, and now studied in Laguna, Brazil.
While previous observers described it as a dolphin behavior done just for their delight, it turns out that there are big benefits in it for both dolphins and fishermen. Both are able to catch more fish more easily!
