What is the value of generalisations? With the Festival for the Future conference coming up a small survey of 13 to 31 year olds challenged the 'Generation Me' generalization of the age group being portrayed as selfish and entitled.
The survey showed up that so grouped 'millennials' ranked highly among their concerns such bigger issues as climate change and talking about mental health and well being.
With increasing disillusionment over political involvement as being the best way to effect change in our world, it seems good healthy soul searching for better alternatives continues in depth amongst our younger generation.
Sleepless nights can be a sign of stress but they can also be when those breakthrough 'eureka' moments of insight occur. My advice is to keep a pen and paper handy by your bed Gen-Me.
